I am a sculptor who recently discovered paintings and woodblock printing. In sculpture my work was based on organic forms, nature and landscape. Now in painting I try to capture the intensity of life by expressing the spirit of nature through color. In each new painting I celebrate life. I create a living entity which has movement, vibrancy, color, rhythm and expression. Spontaneity is important so decisions are never made ahead. I prefer to let the work evolve as each color is applied. Working this way I feel in harmony with the paintings development. Each acrylic canvas is unique and a journey into the unknown. |
